Android – MeDog

An Android application for dog owners with the purpose of informing other dog owners that there are nearby dogs and the status of the dog. Examples of status: injured dog, playful dog and much more. The front end application has been designed in Android Studio. A simple backend was built by using Yeoman in Angular. Retrofit has been used to create a communication between the android and Angular platform.

Self-employed - It consultant

Worked as an interaction designer as well as an application developer and web designer. Some of Andreas's responsibilities was to organize, plan and implement projects. And also to follow up and evaluate the delivered projects.

One of Andreas's biggest projects was for a major medical technology research company, were he along with the project manager, and was responsible for the work to restructure their website and sales platform. The work involved everything from initial selection of a target group, mapping of the flow on the website for optimal user experience and mind map of the content. A large part was also the design, which meant creating sketches and prototypes. These were then analyzed with the customer, changes and improvements were made according to their wishes and requirements.

In that project, Andreas worked with agile methods and close contact with the project owner. He has a good understanding of scrum, sprint planning and incremental improvements

Java – Anti Tower Defense

Andreas was involved both in the design and development phases through this project. The project was developed in java and involved a GUI in AWT, XML, Threads, Swing and Test Driven Design (TDD) was used as a method.

Andreas was involved in Dohi’s hackathon where he completed and won second place with his solution. The Purpose was to choose an existing problem, and do the design and implement a solutions in under 24h. The concept was to focus on images from arts and crafts. “Art has no frames, so why should the sales platform have one.” Therefore, the search algorithm an imported concept, where a user could search for a feeling instead of a group or product.

Google Glass – Tagga2014

The concept was to create a way to use Google Glass for learning, so that in the future students can get their homework sent to any locations and have the opportunity to solve it in the real world instead in front a school desk. The goal was to design an application that would be a new way to interact in the real world. The application was developed in Java, JavaScript and CSS where Andreas shared responsibility of leading the project with the main developer. The result was a backend applications that handled the google glass output for students that was connected to teacher web application, where the teacher could build an assignment.

Assistant – Medical Dispenser

Virtual assistant – Medical Dispenser

TIn this project Andreas was involved in the design and development phase of creating a virtual assistant. The target group was people that suffer of dementia. Some of requirement specifications were to remind and dispense medicine. The project was developed in two phases.

During the first phase the team built a functional device with a raspberry pi as main computer. More functionality was added with phidgets such as, RFID, IR, Bluetooth and much more. All software development was done on Linux environment in C++.

The second phases was to add even more functionality and simplify the human interaction. The team added a camera and developed a software with opencv and C++ that could recognize different containers and inform the user of when, where, which and how much medicine to take. The team implemented a voice to text API’s in the software that allowed communications with the user. The software was development in C++, SQL, and Python.
